Cinnamon French Toast

For my first blog entry, I thought it might be fitting to start with breakfast!

Ingredients:
  • Hard Bread
  • 1 cup half&half (or milk)
  • 3 Jumbo Eggs
  • 2 Tbsp Flour
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • ½ tsp Vanilla
  • enough Butter to coat frying pan
Directions:
  1. Mix the Half & Half, Eggs, Flour, Sugar, Cinnamon and Vanilla in a bowl large enough to fully submerge slices of your bread.
  2. Place a large frying pan on burner at medium to high heat. Place butter in pan, and spread until butter coats the bottom of the pan.
  3. Thoroughly soak pieces of the hard bread in the mixture from step 1.
  4. Fry bread until golden brown. Garnish with fresh fruit, powdered sugar, whipped cream or maple syrup (or any combination thereof).
Helpful hints:
  • If the bread is too hard to slice, try sprinkling water on top and microwaving for a few seconds.
